God told Hazrat Ibraheem to leave his idolatrous ancestral home for a land that he would show him. Although he did not know where he would end up, he believed God and left. He also waited steadfastly for 25 long years for the son God had promised him. And when God tested him and told him to sacrifice his son, he was obedient.
